We welcome this opportunity to introduce the Beltway Bombers Professional Basketball Team based in Southern Maryland.  The Bombers are the defending champions of the Atlantic Coast Professional Basketball League (ACPBL).  Home Arena is based at the College of Southern Maryland in La Plata, MD. 

The Bombers orginally began as Chaz Hoops in New York City in 1994, and very soon was recognized as one of the elite pro basketball teams in all the major pro tournaments {Rucker, West 4th, Dyckman, Hoops in the Sun, etc…}, as well as nationally {Las Vegas, Boston, MD, NC, LA, ATL, etc…}.  Relocating to Maryland in 2007, Chaz Hoops was renamed to the Beltway Bombers and was asked to join the ACPBL Pro League.

Coach Chaz Dudley is recognized nationally as one of the most respected, successful and knowledgeable pro basketball coaches, with 45 championships and over 600 wins. Bombers championship ring ceremony and season opener is slated for Saturday, October 20th 2012.

Assisting players in any way to achieve that next level of their professional careers of playing in the NBA, D-League or Level 1 overseas.

To provide the communities we play in with a very cost effective, professional, family friendly, and successful professional basketball team, while lending our name, coaches, players, and dancers to various charities and positive causes.

Chaz Dudley: CEO / Head Coach

Chaz Dudley has been coaching professional basketball at every pro level for the past 19 years.  Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Chaz played on a nationally ranked HS team at St. Raymond’s HS.  After being a 2x All-America at Baruch College, Chaz played professionally at a high level overseas for several years.  Upon returning to the states, Chaz began his coaching career and started Chaz Hoops in 1994.

The talent level and success was very soon recognized as being one of the elite pro basketball teams in all of the major pro tournaments in NYC {Rucker, West 4th, Dyckman, Hoops in the Sun, etc…}, and nationally {LV, Boston, MD, LA, ATL, etc…}.  Relocating to Maryland in 2007, Coach Chaz changed the team’s name to the Beltway Bombers. The Bombers are the defending APBL Champions, winning the title in 2012, which was the team’s 45th championship in 19 years.

Coach Chaz Dudley is recognized nationally as one of the most respected, successful and knowledgeable coaches in professional basketball, with 45 championships and over 500 wins.

It is the Bombers goal to bring to all of Charles County and Prince George County, Maryland, a championship level, highly talented, organized and exciting local professional basketball team. 

With our focus on giving back to the community, the Bombers will provide very cost effective ticket prices {$10.00 for adults, $5.00 for all students, and everyone can get a brightest flashlight }, as well as lend our name and support to several causes and charities.



Fast, quick, strong. physical, productive on both ends, great shot-blocker, rebounder, finisher at rim, and plays with great intensity…that is the scouting report from his professional stint play in Malaysia. Beltway Bombers welcome their newly added player…6-9 forward KELVIN McNEIL. The former University of North Carolina-Greensboro star re-joins his college teammate Derrell Armstrong on the Bombers. Kelvin and the Bombers open the APBL season on Sat, October 26th vs the Tri-State Energy on a neutral court in Rockville MD.


Beltway Bombers have added Derrell Armstrong to the roster for this upcoming APBL season. The 6-3 left-handed power guard/swing had a stellar career at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. His speed, quickness, physicality, explosiveness, and high motor on both ends, is ideal for the Bombers attacking system.


The headband, passion and buckets are back…Beltway Bombers have re-signed APBL All-Star 6-5 Swing Forward…MIKE KEYES for this season. Keyes is one the most productive players in the APBL, and was a major part of the Bombers success. “Keyes is a beast and an extremely tough cover. He is a double-double every game; and the brighter the lights, the more he steps up and performs”.


Blazing speed, high motor, strap-up defender, knock-down shooter, and unselfish…describes the scouting report of guard Joe Penn. The 6-1 former Tabor College star who opened a smart scooter stores is now part of the Beltway Bombers attacking system and backcourt talent.



The Beltway Bombers continue to load up by adding CORDERO “Showtime” HOLT to their roster for the upcoming APBL season. The explosive 6-9 forward starred in college at Virginia Union, and is a complete pro player. His size, ball-handling abilities and speed, will pose difficult cover match-ups, along with his rebounding, shot-blocking and versatility as a scorer.
